Rolfe has always signed his artworks and they are continuing to increase in value. They have appeared at estate auctions such as Sotheby’s, bringing in very many times more than what was originally paid. He is only selling limited numbers at the current time, consisting mostly of wholesale with occasional craft show representation.
The process he uses is very complex, so no other biologists or artists have been able to achieve the results that he has. The flowers are picked and immediately dried at the height of their perfection; then carefully embedded in a high-quality, clear resin that enhances their finest qualities.
Mr. Rolfe is both a botanist and a perfectionist. His goal is to share his passion for the pure beauty and the mystery that resides in each bloom with others who are also enamored with plants as he is. These are perfect gifts for those who love nature.
